About Me:
My name is Barbara and I was born in High Wycombe but moved to Marlow in 1994. I have been working as a Personal Assistant alongside Hub Care Support since 2019. Prior to this I worked in the care industry for over thirty years and for the majority of this time I worked for a company that supported vulnerable adults in their own home. I have worked with clients with varying medical, health and social care needs (Including Dementia). I also have experience of working with young people with Learning Disabilities.
I am committed to providing person centred care that put the individual's needs first and foremost. I am caring, considerate, reliable, helpful, patient and trustworthy. I am happy to carry out all personal care, preparation of meals, shopping, laundry, companionship calls and social trips out in the community. I enjoy working as a Personal Assistant as I know that what I do, helps the people I support to stay living independently in their own home. Caring for others makes me feel valued and I enjoy building relationships with individuals and treat people with respect and dignity.
I am married and I am blessed to have three grown up children and three grandchildren .I am a passionate animal lover and have three dogs that I enjoy walking in the Buckinghamshire countryside. I enjoy going to the cinema and theatre, playing board games, travelling and watching football.
