About Me:
I have almost 27 years of experience as a Carer and have worked in a day center for people with learning disabilities (Slough Borough Council) and with people with dementia and neurological diseases. I have a degree in psychology which helps me understand individual clients and their needs. I am a very calm person and can deal with all sorts of situations. I am a very good team player and tend to motivate and interact with clients to maintain their independence. I not only have a good relationship with clients but also their families. I am a very honest and hard working individual and as a mature person, I value time keeping and will do anything to complete my goal. I like to ensure a compassionate service is provided so the clients know I am more than just a carer. I am NVQ 2 trained and have all the necessary training to fulfill my role. I have a wide knowledge of clients' individual needs and can assist them in their daily aspect of life.
I also worked as an assistant speech therapist for people with aphasia (voluntary work for Wexam Park Hospital).
My hobbies include cooking, talking, watching tv, and going out.
